INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Are you an international applicant? If you would like to enroll or to attend a single course at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona there are the same rules for you as for applicants from Italy.

Attention! This procedure does not affect the Erasmus+ students.
If you’re applying for a mobility period at Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona in the frame of Erasmus+ program, please visit the International Mobility – Erasmus+ webpage.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

If you belong to one of these categories:

  • Italian citizens holding a foreign qualification
  • European Union citizens wherever they reside
  • Non-EU citizens legally residing in Italy or in other EU countries

you can apply for being admitted by following this procedure:

Ammissioni | Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona and then take an admission test.

Within the admission application, you must submit:

  • Foreign official qualification (the qualification may be accompanied by a certificate issued by the ENIC-NARIC centre – CIMEA), a certificate issued by foreign official bodies, or a Declaration of Value (The “Declaration of Value” is a document that certifies the value of a qualification obtained in an educational system different from the Italian one. It is written in Italian and issued by the Italian Diplomatic Representatives abroad (Embassies / Consulates) “competent by area”, that is, to the closest city in which the institution issuing the foreign title is located)  where applicable;
  • Transcript of Records and Diploma Supplement where adopted;
  • Identity document

If you are non-EU student applying for a visa and you reside abroad, you need to request a visa before you arrive in Italy. In order to do so, first you will have to pre-enroll by logging in in the UNIVERSITALY portal (https://www.universitaly.it).

Within this portal, the Academy will request you to upload the following documents:

  • identity document;
  • passport
  • two passport photos
  • For the bachelor candidates: foreign official qualification corresponding to the secondary school diploma. The qualification must be accompanied by a certificate issued

         by the ENIC-NARIC centre (CIMEA);

         or by a certificate issued by foreign official bodies;

         or by a declaration of value (The “Declaration of Value” is a document that certifies the value of a qualification obtained in an educational system different from the Italian one. It is written in Italian and issued by the Italian Diplomatic Representatives abroad (Embassies / Consulates) “competent by area”, that is, to the closest city in which the institution issuing the foreign title is located.

  • For master candidates: official foreign qualification corresponding to the first cycle (level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework). The qualification must be accompanied by a certificate issued by

         by the ENIC-NARIC centre (CIMEA);

         or by a certificate issued by foreign official bodies;

         or by a declaration of value (The “Declaration of Value” is a document that certifies the value of a qualification obtained in an educational system different from the Italian one. It is written in Italian and issued by the Italian Diplomatic Representatives abroad (Embassies / Consulates) “competent by area”, that is, to the closest city in which the institution issuing the foreign title is located).

         and transcript of records and Diploma Supplement where adopted;

The Academy will then validate the pre-enrolment application on the UNIVERSITALY portal. Prior acceptance by the university does not confer any right to obtain a visa: the decision on the issuance lies exclusively with the diplomatic-consular Representation.

If you regularly pre-enrolled and your application has been validated within the UNIVERSITALY portal by the Academy, the diplomatic-consular Representations will therefore issue, once they have carried out their verifications, a type D long-stay Schengen visa (it is mandatory for any foreigner wishing to study, work or live in a Schengen country for longer than 90 days).

The general deadline set for visa applications is 30 November 2022, but it is the candidate’s responsibility to find out about specific procedures and deadlines.

After the pre-enrolment, you will have to register for the admission exam to the three-year or two-year course by following the instructions published on the website: Ammissioni | Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona (accademiabelleartiverona.it)
